Finnair announces more flights to US in 2025

Finnair will increase its flight offerings to the US by more than 40 percent next year.

More flights to America and Asia

Next summer, Finnair will increase its flight offerings to the US by more than 40 percent. Although the airline is not expanding its route network, frequencies are being increased on almost all routes. Compared to this year's summer offering, Finnair is increasing the frequency on the route between its Helsinki hub and Chicago from five weekly flights to one daily flight. In addition, Finnair is increasing the number of flights between Helsinki and Los Angeles and Seattle from three to five weekly flights. However, the flight connection between Helsinki and Dallas, which only started in 2022, recorded the largest increase. In future, Finnair will offer eleven weekly flights. By comparison: the previous season had only six weekly flights. Somewhat surprisingly, the number of flights to New York JFK will not be increased. It is a daily flight.

More flights to America means more connectivity within North and South America. Christine Rovelli, Finnair's chief revenue officer, emphasizes about partner airlines American Airlines and Alaska Airlines:

But the United States is not the only country being considered for the largest number of flights. In future, Finnair will fly daily to Osaka. Osaka will host the World Expo next year. In addition, the flight connection between Helsinki and Nagoya will have an additional weekly cycle, so that Finnair will fly to Nagoya four times a week in the future. The same applies to the Chinese metropolis of Shanghai.
