Sony has released a new update for the PlayStation 5.
With version 10.2 (internal 24.07-10.20.00), users primarily receive under-the-hood improvements.
What does the update bring?
At first glance, the update may seem unspectacular. But the changes are still important:
- More visible activities: Your activities will now be displayed more clearly. Regardless of whether you are currently playing, paused or already finished
- Spoiler protection remains: Potential spoilers will continue to be hidden from your feeds
- Improved performance and stability: Sony has optimized the internal software to ensure a smoother gaming experience
- Ease of use: Some screen layouts have been revised for easier navigation
Preparations for PS5 Pro?
It's hard to miss that Sony is hard at work on the PlayStation 5 Pro. Many suspect that this update will serve as the basis for the new generation of consoles. The PS5 Pro is scheduled to debut on November 7 and can currently be pre-ordered.
What's next?
Another major update this year is unlikely. Sony will likely focus on improving the current firmware and preparation for the PS5 Pro in the coming months. Traditionally, we can look forward to a beta of the next big update in February next year.
