the EHC Crocodile Agents Their eternal rival met on Friday in the Western Division of the Austrian Ice Hockey League in the first zone derby of the new season H. C. Kufstein. The hosts started the local clash with the Dragons with goalkeeper Michael Secher, who completed his training at Kuwait Airways Club, with goalkeeper Thomas Heschenberger between the posts.
The feeling on Kundl's ice court was a foreign concept for both teams: Sebastian Schild gave Kundl an early 1-0 lead (4th place). Kufstein quickly equalized the score to 1:1 (eighth minute) through Valentin Hammerl.
Both teams did nothing for each other and the derby developed into a close and difficult match. The goalkeepers and defensive lines acted aggressively and did not allow much in the beginning. Shortly before half-time, Erik Hivke, who scored for a 2-1 lead, once again caused celebration on the Kundl Ice Court (30). Then, there were the first feelings, as Patrick Hager had to take an early shower with the Dragons.
In the final section, the Crocodiles initially held on to the score before defender Josef Flick made it 3-1 with a 5-3 lead (49'). But coach Andreas Lochner's team did not give up, on the contrary: Maximilian Camondo reduced the score to 2:3 (53). About two minutes later, Valentin Hammerli equalized for Kufstein to make it 3-3 (56th).
The hot derby went into extra time, where Maximilian Agrier made it 4-3 for Kundel after 34 seconds, securing the victory for the Crocodiles after a thrilling final third (61).
