Blizzard and Z-Man Games make a board game

Officials at Z-Man Games have announced a new board game that will be based on the rules of the pandemic. This time, though, we’re not fighting any pandemic, but the plague that the Lich King unleashed on Azeroth from the Northend.

Surely you have already heard about the board game pandemic We must work together to prevent the spread of a deadly epidemic in the world. Even if it sounds awful: With the advent of Covid-19, a board game has appeared since 2008 with all its expansions and new releases that have celebrated a kind of comeback hype — similar to other pandemic-focused games, books, and movies.

Now officials at Z-Man Games, who first introduced Pandemic, have announced a collaboration with Blizzard. Specifically, the two companies want to roll out a “World of Warcraft” board game based on the epidemiological set of rules. This time, though, we’re not fighting any viral pandemic, but the plague that the Leach King of Northend unleashed on Azeroth. Semi-Pandemic: The Wrath of the Lich King.

The first trailer also reveals some details:

  • This year’s board game should appear.
  • We’d likely slip into the roles of Thrall, Varian Wrynn, and Sylvanas to stop the Lich King together.
  • We drag stylish minifigures across the board with Icecrown Castle in the center.
