Landis + Gyr wins a tender from the Belgian company Fluvius for the supply of smart meters and related services

CHAM, Switzerland, Jan. 23 /PRNewswire/ – Landis + Gyr NV (Belgium), a subsidiary of Landis + Gyr Group AG (SIX: LAND), was awarded the contract by the Belgian system operator Fluvius cv to supply 2.5 million E360 smart electricity meters for homes and 1 million smart gas meters for households received . This award represents the allocation of 50% of the proposed smart meter volume, and installation will begin in 2023. Landis + Gyr NV will also offer Measurement as a Service and IoT connectivity as a service for 15 years. The terms of the agreement have not yet been finalized.

Fluvius acts as a central buyer for the country’s two most important energy suppliers, Resa and Ores in Wallonia and Sibelga in Brussels. Fluvius has completed the awarding of the framework contract for the supply of new types of smart electricity and gas meters and related services, namely Measurement as a Service and IoT connectivity as a service. The Landis + Gyr solution enables meter reading and control in cooperation with the relevant network operators.

The period in which smart energy meters can be purchased extends until 2034 and gives Fluvius the opportunity to purchase additional types of meters and data services in the future.
