The plane was preparing in the airport apron to take off for Billund, Denmark, when a person became stuck in the engine, which was already running, according to the Dutch airline KLM. KLM did not provide any additional information about the victim.
The Dutch border police, responsible for security at the Netherlands' largest airports, said the passengers were removed from the plane. The incident is being investigated.
According to Dutch media reports, the plane was a short-haul aircraft from Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer, a subsidiary of KLM's regional subsidiary Cityhub. A photo published by NOS Radio showed fire engines and ambulances on the plane near the departure hall.
