The legal battle between the former tennis star Boris Becker and TV comedian Oliver Bucher Enter a new round in two and a half months. The Higher Regional Court in Karlsruhe has set the appeal hearing for November 13 in Freiburg, the court announced on its website Thursday evening. (Case: 14 St. 620/22)
Becker, 55, failed in November last year to bring a civil suit against Bucher, 45, in Offenburg District Court. The court argued at the time that the former tennis professional had not violated his personal rights through a television report from RTL’s “Pocher – Dangerously Dangerous” program in October 2020.

According to his lawyer, Baker demanded that the post not be sent and removed from the Internet anymore. The former tennis star has appealed Offenberg’s ruling.
The statement said the Regional High Court did not order the personal appearance of the plaintiff and the defendant. The final decision cannot be expected at that date. In the text of the letter, Becker is referred to as a “world-famous former professional tennis player”. The surname Baker is mentioned in the title.
