Start a signal for a successful future with Allergan
The combination of AbbVie and Allergan is an important strategic milestone for our company. I very much look forward to the fact that going forward, as the world’s top five innovative pharmaceutical companies with a stronger and broader portfolio, we can take advantage of additional opportunities to make a real difference to patients.
Mag Ingo Raymond, General Manager of AbbVie in Austria
Vienna – Healthy business structures have been practiced for years at biopharmaceutical company AbbVie. As a partner in Business for Families, AbbVie is committed to a workplace culture where employees can combine work and family life thanks to the flexibility in their jobs. A commitment that pays off: Two weeks after the successful merger of the Allergan team into the Austrian part of the AbbVie group of companies, BioPharma was once again recognized as a “Great Place to Work®” yesterday evening.
For the seventh time in a row, the Vienna-based Austrian biopharmaceutical company can look forward to receiving the “Great Place to Work®” award. The fact that AbbVie ranked fifth among the companies honored in the M category (100-249 employees) is a result of the company’s team-oriented working methods. When a company is incorporated, it is very important to unite the two different company cultures and introduce those new to the team to the new culture for them. As of May 2, 2022, AbbVie and Allergan are now legally one company. AbbVie is already a leader in the treatment of immune system conditions such as inflammatory rheumatism, dermatology, chronic inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease (hepatitis C) and hematology. With the incorporation of Allergan, ophthalmology will be added and the field of neurology will be expanded.
“The combination of AbbVie and Allergan is an important strategic milestone for our company. I very much look forward to the fact that going forward, as the world’s top five innovative pharmaceutical companies with a stronger and broader portfolio, we can use additional opportunities to make a real difference to patients.”
says Mag Ingo Raymond, General Manager of AbbVie in Austria.
About 150 employees will continue to work under the motto “Research For The Future. Changing Lives Today” within the respective product brands in a highly team-oriented manner. Furthermore, flexible working time models are very important at AbbVie: in order to ensure the best possible communication within teams, all employees in the office work three days a week. The remaining two working days can be spent at Work @ Home. Each team individually decides the working days on site or remotely. In addition, the so-called “meeting-free Friday”, on which internal meetings should not take place if possible, means that this day can be dedicated to external clients, concepts or appointments. The interaction between AbbVie’s expertise on the one hand and healthy work structures on the other hand makes BioPharma a ‘Great Place to Work®’ in Austria.
