As part of Light + Building 2024, eQ-3 AG and Bird Home Automation GmbH announce a strategic partnership. Comprehensive cloud-to-cloud integration will enable DoorBird video door terminals to be easily connected to the Homematic IP smart home system starting Q4 2024.
Through the direct integration of DoorBird into the Homematic IP ecosystem, users will have the opportunity to make access control to their homes easier and more convenient: the Homematic IP application on the smartphone notifies them via push notification anytime, anywhere when someone is in the door rings of the house . For direct communication with the visitor, audio and video signals from the DoorBird door station are transmitted directly to the Homematic IP application. If desired, the door can be opened with just a flick of the finger.
Safety is the top priority for both partners. All communications in both systems are transmitted only encrypted according to the latest standards. Homematic IP Cloud runs exclusively on servers in Germany and is therefore subject to the most stringent security requirements, compliance with which is continuously monitored. To meet the highest security standards, the smart home system has already been certified by VDE seven times in a row in the areas of protocol, IT and data security.
eQ-3 is constantly expanding its whole-home system range, which already includes more than 150 products, in order to offer users more options to easily and conveniently design their smart home according to their desires. Selected partnerships complement the company's product portfolio – in addition to DoorBird, compatible systems include Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Philips Hue, Ezviz, Veka Texino and Ease. DoorBird and Homematic IP cloud-to-cloud integration will be available starting Q4 2024.
