Young tennis star Carlos Alcaraz reached his first ATP final on grass at the Wimbledon prep tournament at London’s Queen’s Club. If he wins a tournament on Sunday, the Spaniard will be world number 1 again. In Halle, Aleksander Bublik, who reached the semifinals without a fight after being knocked out by Jannik Sener in the quarterfinals, reached the final.

The 20-year-old Spaniard Alcaraz had no problems in 6:3,6:4 with unseeded American Sebastian Korda in the semi-finals. And on Sunday, Alcaraz will meet Australian Alex de Minaur, who surprisingly eliminated second seed Dan Holger Rohn 6: 3, 7: 6 (2).
With his ATP 500 title win, valued at €2.345 million, Alcaraz will once again be number one in the world rankings ahead of Novak Djokovic. “I feel better from game to game and I have the feeling that I have been playing on grass for 10 years,” said Alcaraz, who was relatively inexperienced in the field of beaches.

The final match at the ATP tournament in Hull is one of the Eastern European championships: Russia’s Andrei Rublev meets Roberto Bautista Agut (Spain) 6: 3.6: 4 against Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik, who beat German Alexander Zverev 6: 3.7: 5 in his place. Bublik was Janik Sener’s opponent in the quarterfinals. South Tyrol was forced to abandon the match shortly after the start of the second set.
