There is no return mode
An all-new survival mode that allows players to show off their skills in random encounters. The mode features several playable characters, some of which are playable for the first time in The Last of Us series. Each character has unique characteristics that suit different playstyles, and players can chart their own path.

Free play mode for guitar
This mode allows players to play the strings of unlockable musical instruments, use audio FX pedals, and perform as different characters in different locations of the game to customize the mood and feel of their group.

Lost levels
A series of playable sequences that were previously cut from the game. Not only do these offer new insights into the world of Part II, but they also include built-in developer commentary to give players a more comprehensive context.

Manager comments
Newly recorded commentary by director Neil Druckmann, narrator Haley Gross, and actors Troy Baker, Ashley Johnson, and Laura Bailey provides insight into the story and characters of The Last of Us Part II.

Graphics improvements
Improved graphics with native 4K output in Resolution mode, 1440p upscaling to 4K in Performance mode, increased texture resolution, improved shadow quality, animation sample rate and more. These improvements aim to bring the world of Part II to life with richer details.
