How does the alpha version of “Call of Duty: Vanguard” work on PlayStation consoles, you will learn in this article. We have included the video with graphical variations and frame rate testing at the bottom.
PlayStation players still have the opportunity to participate in the alpha phase of “Call of Duty: Vanguard” until 7:00 PM. Here you can experience the new “Champion Hill” game mode, where you compete as a duo or trio against rotating teams.
YouTuber ElAnalistaDeBits once again outlined how the alpha version of the new shooter performed in a technical comparison. In his latest video, compare the PS4, PS4 Pro and PS5 variants.
Fixed frame rate on all consoles
The three console versions use what’s called a “rebuild view” in which the resolution is scaled. The refresh rate is constant on all platforms. However, it is a mode in which a maximum of six players participate in a match. The PS5 also has two graphics modes, one of which allows you to shoot 120 frames per second.
It’s no surprise that PS5 players get more detailed material and better insight. On some surfaces you will see additional reflections even though there is no ray tracing. A few static shadows had to be removed from the now-obsolete consoles. Plus, there are no dynamic shades involved.
The depth of field is also more realistic on PS5. PS4 Pro has problems here.
