The Copa America football series is in danger of advancing to the quarter-finals with an unexpected loss. Team USA lost to Panama 2-1.
The U.S. was said to have taken the lead in the fifth minute, but the goal was disallowed for offside. A red card for striker Timothy Weah (son of former world footballer George Weah) in the 18th minute set the course for defeat.
Fowler's Balogun took the lead in the 22nd minute of the match, but Cesar Blackman (26th) and Jose Fajardo (83rd) turned the game around for Panama. In the final stage, Carrasculla also sees red for the foreigner (88th).
Like the USA, Panama has three points after two match days in Group C after an opening win over Bolivia (2-0). For the United States, the fight with Uruguay awaits the last day.
Uruguay without any problems
The Uruguayans were flawless against Bolivia and celebrated a clear 5-0 victory.
Bellistrini (8th) and Liverpool star Darvin Nunes (21st) scored in the first half, with Araujo (77th), Valverde (81st) and Bentancur (89th) scoring in the closing stages.
Old man Luis Suarez (37) can also participate from the 46th minute.
