That was almost 30 years ago Col Solare Winery Founded with an ambitious goal: to bring together two winemaking cultures in Washington State to create the best Cabernet Sauvignon. In support of the implementation of this project, the American company Ste. Michelle Wine Estates is like no other Piero Antinori On the ship. A new cellar was opened in 2007 and additional vineyards were planted. The next milestone in Colonel Solar's history will soon follow. It has been announced that the Antinori family will take over the winery As a sole proprietorship. Earlier he held 50 percent stake. Piero Antinori explains on the occasion of the acquisition:
Our family has been inspired by Red Mountain terroir since the early 1990s. Making Washington State's red wines unique and guaranteeing their high quality is a constant and exciting challenge for us. Colonel Solar's full acquisition of Stock's Leap Wine Cellars in California's Napa Valley is a testament to our belief in these exceptional wine regions. I want Ste. Michelle Wine Estates for our many years of collaboration.
