North Korea accuses the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of being a puppet of the US based on a resolution.
“If the IAEA wants to avoid international criticism as a mouthpiece for the US, it would do well to address the difficulties facing the international community,” said a spokesman for the Ministry of Nuclear Energy in Pyongyang. From the damaged Fukushima nuclear power plant.

He criticized the resolution passed by the Atomic Energy Agency’s General Assembly on Friday.
The resolution was the “effect of a conspiracy” by the US and its allies. North Korea’s status as a nuclear-armed state is already “irreversible”.

The spokesman also accused IAEA chief Rafael Croci of “creating a situation of pressure on the DPRK” by spreading “a false story” about an upcoming nuclear test. DPRK is the North’s official name, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

Last year, Croci warned that North Korea could conduct another nuclear test for the first time since 2017. The IAEA has not had access to North Korea since the government in Pyongyang expelled inspectors from the country in 2009 and resumed nuclear tests.
