For many years, Wienergasse was the venue for Wolfgang Stinauer's legendary Bruck Blues Festival. Now the alley in downtown Brock will be revitalized as a music mile. Thomas Mayer, founder of KulturON and a longtime theater maker in the city, is organizing an outdoor concert there on June 29. This time the focus was not on blues, but on austropop of a slightly different kind.
Crowdfleckerl, Unerhört and Boris Bukowski will perform there from 5pm. Crowdfleckerl is a band from Burgenland that has already made it to the main stage of the Neusiedler City Festival and to the morning show “Guten Morgen Österreich”.
The iconic artists rocking the Austrian rock scene have not been heard from in the region since 2019. At their shows, including at Gasometer in Vienna, they always impressed the audience.
concludes Boris Bukovsky. “The living legend of Austrian rock returns to the stage after a long break,” says Mayer, delighted that the musician, who received the Amadeus Award for his life's work, said of Brock.
“We are proud to welcome such unique artists to the Wienergasse. It will be an evening full of music, emotions and community that should not be missed,” said Mayer. In case of inclement weather, the concert will take place in the Brücke Town Hall. Tickets are available in advance for €29 at kulturon.at Tickets are available at the box office for 34 euros.
The party will mark its debut on June 23 in the new KulturON store at Wienergasse 5. The works of regional artists will be showcased there and offered for sale. At the opening, there will be a warm-up concert for the Wienergassen concert, where Unerhört and Crowdfleckerl will perform some unplugged songs from 5 p.m. Physical tickets will also be sold there on this occasion.
