Things escalated during an anti-circus demonstration.
On Friday afternoon, the situation may have escalated during a demonstration by animal rights activists and vegans in front of a circus in Wiesbaden near Frankfurt am Main, said one of the members of the Viennese Vegan Rage team, Rafaela Raab. She was apparently there too, posting a video on TikTok and writing: “€1,000 in property damage, four flat tires, activists in hospital.” In addition to the attacks on activists, screens and batteries were destroyed.
According to those close to the angry vegan, the circus operators appear to have been spooked. A video available at oe24 shows a man throwing his opponent – possibly a participant in the demo – to the ground and kicking him in the face.
Activists “are brutally attacked and beaten”
According to people close to the protesters, “people who demonstrated peacefully” were “brutally attacked and beaten.” Several activists were then taken to the hospital to receive treatment in the emergency room. Two people's noses were broken.

The demonstration was recorded and approved in advance. There were reportedly blind activists among the protesters. “The whole thing was very bad for them,” according to the anonymous source.
