For the first time, an Indian takes first place in the DTM! In a very exciting qualifying, Arjun Maini surprisingly took the best pole position in the Mercedes-AMG GT3 from Haupt Racing.
In an exciting qualifying session, Arjun Maini took pole position in the first round of the DTM Championship at the Red Bull Ring. On the drying track, he completed the circuit in 1:30.128 minutes. This is the Indian's first position in the DTM.
Second place went to Maximilian Paul, who was 0.275 seconds behind the Mercedes driver.
Maro Engel completed the top three in a WINWARD Racing car.
Championship leader Kelvin van der Linde only qualified 18th, while title rivals Engel and Mirko Bortolotti started from the second row.
