Dutchman Arne Slot will be Jurgen Klopp's successor at Liverpool. The 45-year-old player confirmed, during a press conference held with his current club, Feyenoord Rotterdam, that “he will be Liverpool's coach next season.” Official confirmation from Liverpool is still pending. There has been speculation about committing to a slot at Anfield Road for a long time.
Liverpool pays 10 million euros to Feyenoord
Last week, English and Dutch media unanimously reported that an agreement had been reached. The Premier League club have reached a transfer agreement with Sloat's current employer, Feyenoord Rotterdam. According to the Daily Mail, around €10 million transfer fee is being discussed for the 45-year-old.
Klopp, who is leaving Liverpool, also spoke positively about his potential successor. “I like the way his team plays football. All I've heard about him is that he's a good guy and a good coach.”
Slot with Rotterdam on a wave of success
Slott has been successfully working for ÖFB Legionnaire Gernot Trauner since the 2021/22 season, where he succeeded Dick Advocaat.
