LOS ANGELES (AP) – Stars like Zendaya, Tom Holland, Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds were honored with awards at the MTV Movie & TV Awards. The awards were presented in Los Angeles, where actress Vanessa Hudgens hosted the show.
Latin star Jennifer Lopez (52, “Marry Me – Marry At First Sight”) received the MTV Generation Award, an honorary award for special services in television and films. She won the Comedic Genius Award for comedian Jack Black.
Movie favorite “Spider-Man: No Way Home” had seven chances to win and ended up taking home the first trophy for Best Picture and the Tom Holland Actor Award. His colleague Zendaya won the Best TV Actor Award for her leading role in the drama series ‘Euphoria’. The HBO series took home three more awards: Best Show, Best Fighting Scene, and Best Love Affair.
Ryan Reynolds (“Free Guy”) won Best Comedy Actor, the Hero Award went to Scarlett Johansson (“Black Widow”), and the Villain Trophy went to Daniel Radcliffe (“The Lost City”).
Prizes are presented in the form of golden popcorn cups, and fans vote for the winners online.
