Back to China in September

Costa Serena will return to China in September 2024. After a four-year hiatus, Costa Crociere is returning to the country and will offer a series of cruises from Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

The operation is carried out in cooperation with a Chinese travel agency and includes twelve departures. The four- and five-night itineraries visit destinations in Japan and Vietnam, such as Okinawa, Naha, Miyako Island, Yaeyama Islands and Da Nang.

The trips can be booked through Foshan Kouan International Travel Service, and will take place between September 24 and November 10, 2024. After the renovation, Costa Serena now offers new dining options and a fresh new look.

Since resuming service in May 2023, Costa Serena has been sailing in Asia, offering itineraries from various countries in the region. After a series of cruises in India in late 2023, the 3,000-guest ship returned to Southeast Asia for a short season in Malaysia in early 2024. The ship was then relocated to Taiwan, where it is currently making a series of short cruises to Japan and South Korea.

Costa Serena is scheduled to return to Malaysia in December for a second domestic programme that also includes departures from Port Klang. The ship is currently one of the oldest ships in use at Costa Crociere. Built in 2007, the ship is a sister to Costa Pacifica and has been heading to China and other Asian markets since 2015.

Featuring interiors inspired by Roman and Greek mythology, Costa Serena offers a range of amenities including a large wellness centre, three pool decks and multiple lounges, as well as a waterslide and four dining options.
