Dusseldorf Bayer AG gets access to mega project for renewable energies in US US supplier Cat Creek Energy (CCE) will supply green electricity to DAX Group from 2028 at its energy-intensive US location. It is the largest single renewable energy supply contract signed by a US company to date. This is shown by data from the US Environmental Protection Agency EPA.
The agreement provides for the provision of 1.4 terawatt hours of electricity per year from renewable sources. This equates to 40 percent of Bayer AG’s total electricity purchases worldwide — and 60 percent of its needs in the U.S., the company reported. Much of the demand in the supply chain for crop protection products is concentrated in the United States.
