Jamal Musiala will not be available for Bayern Munich at the present time. The 20-year-old tore a muscle fiber during training on Wednesday and is likely to miss next Sunday’s Bundesliga games against FC Augsburg and six days later against Borussia Monchengladbach.
Musiala’s international appearances on September 9 in Wolfsburg against Japan and on September 12 in Dortmund against France are also at risk. Then there’s the Bundesliga derby against Bayer Leverkusen (15 September).
As for Musiala, it is possible that Thomas Mueller will participate in the starting line-up against Augsburg. The 33-year-old missed most of pre-season through injury, but immediately became a regular fixture at Bremen after coming off the bench.
Pavard misses training
Benjamin Pavard, who wants to emigrate and is said to be on the brink of a move to Inter Milan, missed training in Munich on Wednesday due to illness.
On the other hand, newcomer Rafael Guerrero continued to work on his return after suffering a ruptured muscle bundle in his right calf.
