The Salzburg State Brass Orchestra, led by Grigor Kovacic, with singer Anna Buchiger, gave an acclaimed concert for the Aid Projects of the Rotary Club Hallein-Salzburg Sud on the stage of the Bernerinsel Theatre. The piece “The Tears of Eurydice” by composer Linz Andreas Ziegelbäck had its world premiere.
Hallen. It was an evening of artistic excellence: under the direction of conductor Grigor Kovacic, the Salzburg Wind Orchestra (Salzburger Blasmusikverband/SBV) successfully demonstrated its skills on the festival stage in Pernerinsel on October 1.
At the concert for the Rotary Club Hallein-Salzburg Süd, compositions by Leonard Bernstein and Sylvester Levi as well as John Kander and Claude Michel Schonberg were performed.
The world premiere of Eurydice’s Tears
It was the premiere of “The Tears of Eurydice” by Linz Andreas Ziegelbäck. Another highlight, undoubtedly, was the performance of Anna Buchiger, which prompted the audience to thunderous applause and enthusiastic applause.

The Salzburg State Wind Orchestra is a select orchestra made up of musicians from the Salzburg Wind Music Association.
The State Brass Orchestra performs brass music at the highest artistic level in Salzburg. It is a successful collaboration between the Salzburg Brass Band Association, Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra, Salzburg Military Music Association and Salzburg Musikum. The aim of the orchestra is to represent and present the great musical potential of wind music and to act as a catalyst for the primary musical work.
As a selected, high-quality orchestra with young talents from the wind music scene and already successful professional musicians, the Salzburg State Wind Orchestra offers traditional and symphonic wind music at the highest level. Particular emphasis is placed on contemporary wind orchestral literature.
Locally and internationally renowned guest leaders as well as professional musicians and soloists are invited to concert projects. This brings different musical experiences and styles to the orchestra and further promotes the development of the orchestra.
