Washington Giant “Bitenomics” signs lined the stage Wednesday where US President Joe Biden delivered his biggest campaign speech on the US economy to date.
The term has become a buzzword for Biden’s billion-dollar housing policy. In the presidential campaign, the White House is touting “bidenomics” as the 80-year-old Biden’s poll numbers weaken.
“I took office when our economy was weak,” Biden said in the US city of Chicago. “Today, America has the highest economic growth rate since the pandemic, the highest in the entire world.” The US economy has “recovered faster than other major industrialized nations,” the US president said.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, the US economy has grown 5.4 percent, while growth in other G7 countries has averaged 1.3 percent, according to a White House analysis.
