I have multiple operating systems installed in parallel on my computer, including Windows and Linux on different SSD drives. I use rEFInd as a boot manager to choose which operating system to boot every time I reboot. After the latest BIOS update, the Reference dialog box is no longer displayed and Windows simply boots. Since I can't find any other UEFI boot partitions in the BIOS either, I'm now basically locked out of accessing other operating systems. What should I do?

BIOS updates (like some Windows updates) can have the annoying side effect of UEFI boot entries disappearing. Unless something else is corrupted and you just want to see the reference menu again when you start your computer, you don't need to reinstall it. Then the following procedure is sufficient: search for “Command Prompt” in the start menu and select “Run as administrator” from the results. Type the following command here:
bcdedit /set "{bootmgr}" path \EFI\refind\refind_x64.efi
Then restart your computer. If the Reference menu doesn't already appear, go to the BIOS settings and select the drive where the bootloader is located.
