It’s not known that Bioware always likes to try to give a reasonable story to its own games. Now, Canadians have acquired the services of a well-known game designer.

In the wake of Mary DeMarle’s appointment to Bioware, it’s also now clear what the author will be working on. Mass Effect’s Michael Gamble has confirmed that DeMarle will join the team as senior narrative director and work on the next Mass Effect.
Original message 04.07.2022:
Canada to Change Staff: Author Marie DeMarley Leaves Eidos Montreal for Bioware. DeMarle has been with Eidos for over ten years, primarily responsible for the stories of the newer Deus Ex games (Mankind Divided, Human Revolution, mobile pop-up) and more recently for Guardians of the Galaxy. By the way, the latter won the Game Award for Best Novel, which says a lot about DeMarle’s stature.
The author announced the change on Friday via LinkedIn. It is not yet known what projects she will be working on at Bioware. However, there is a possibility that it has something to do with Mass Effect 4 or Dragon Age Dreadwolf.
DeMarle’s departure from Eidos Montreal may be related to the Embracer Group’s acquisition of some studios from Square Enix. The same announced in May that it would acquire Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montreal and Square Enix Montreal, among others, along with several major brands such as Tomb Raider, Deus Ex and Thief for US$300 million.
