Bye Paulo Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has been taken to a Florida hospital, an insider said. A person close to the family told Reuters on Monday that his condition was not critical.
Brazilian newspaper “O Globo” earlier reported that Bolsonaro was hospitalized with stomach pains.
Bolsonaro did not comment. The former head of state has been hospitalized several times in recent years after suffering stab wounds during the 2018 election campaign.
Bolsonaro traveled to the United States earlier this year shortly before his successor took office in Brazil. His supporters besieged government buildings in Brasilia on Sunday. So there have been loud calls from US Democrats to extradite him.
