Ski racer Romid Baumann achieved the German Ski Federation's (DSV) best result in the first practice for the Alpine Skiing World Cup at the Streif in Kitzbühel.

The veteran came in tenth place in the test round, which was not of great importance, and in the end he was 1.50 seconds behind the best time of Cameron Alexander (Canada).
Thomas Driessen, the 2018 Kitzbühel winner, finished 39th in the 71-starter class after his last place in the Wengen downhill last weekend. On Saturday, the 30-year-old was visibly affected by his current condition. Driessen has for a long time been suffering from Persistent physical problems.
Two additional training sessions are scheduled to take place in Kitzbühel on Wednesday and Thursday. After downhill on Friday and Saturday (11:30 a.m.), the slalom takes place on Sunday (10:30 a.m./1:30 p.m.).
