After a series of public failures of the former teen star, Jimmy Spears took custody of his daughter in 2008. He used her to organize their legal and financial matters. In February, a court ruled that Jimmy Spears should continue to manage his daughter’s assets – along with the Bessemer Trust.
The documentary sparked interest in the guardianship dispute
The documentary “Framing Britney Spears” has recently sparked public interest in the guardianship dispute, which traces the legal incapacity of a pop star. Under the hashtag “#FreeBritney,” Spears fans recently called for the end of Jimmy Spears’ tutelage. The 39-year-old singer rarely talks controversy in public.
With songs like “Baby One More Time …”, “Oops! … I Did It Again” and “Toxic” Britney Spears was the highest paid singer in the world in the early 2000s. After that, she accumulated her professional and private setbacks. A mother of two boys was forcibly admitted to a clinic in 2008 due to mental health problems.
