SK Rapid played a friendly match against Vienna on Thursday afternoon. Hoteldorfer won the duel with the second division team with a score of 3-0. An own goal by Abazovic (36th) and a brace by Guido Burgstaller (44th and 56th) made things clear early on.
The match was played behind closed doors, with the Whites also aiming to give players recently suspended due to the video scandal some valuable playing minutes. So coach Robert Claus included four of these players in the starting lineup. Torsten Schick, Maximilian Hoffmann, Marco Grol and Guido Burgstaller played until the 63rd minute.

In the absence of some of the A and U21 players, some young Rapid II talents also played minutes, including Furkan Demir, brother of former Rapid player Yusuf Demir, and Tobias Heidel, brother of regular Rapid goalkeeper Niklas Heidel. Rapid could have won the match more due to the many unused chances. But Dopplinger had chances too, as goalkeeper Paul Gaertner, who was in goal in the first half, and Bernhard Anger in the second, kept Rapid's scoreline at bay.
“Today's test completely achieved its goal, everyone remained healthy and the result was correct,” Klaus explained after the match.
