BVB began their US tour on Monday (July 24). A total of 30 players flew to America. However, many actors are missing.
Dortmund/San Diego – Borussia Dortmund will skip a classic training camp ahead of the upcoming 2023/2024 season, instead embarking on a marketing tour in the United States. Apart from several media dates, the site also has many attractive Test matches. BVB announced the squad for the trip on Monday morning.
BVB travel to USA with 30-man squad: many players missing
There are many little surprises in the 30-man squad. Among others, right-back Mathieu More, who struggled back at BVB, was absent.
The Spaniard missed Borussia’s friendly win at RW Erfurt on Saturday (July 22) with a muscle strain. According to the club, he is completing a personal project in Dortmund.
BVB: Julian Rijkhoff’s departure looks more and more apparent
Julian Rijkhoff wasn’t even on the plane. The youngster has been training with the pros for the past few weeks and has been given playing time in friendlies.
For now, however, the attacker must return to the U23s. His future in the BVB jersey is uncertain. Julian Rijkhoff wants to go professional as soon as possible. A potential transfer has been a recurring topic recently.
BVB travel to USA: Soumaila Koulibaly committed to transfer
Third in the group is Soumaila Coulibaly. Like Mathieu Morey, he also complains of muscular problems and is therefore working out separately at Dortmund. However, with him it is clear: he must be sold this summer.
As is well known, the transfer from Soumaila Koulibaly to FC Burnley hit home straight. BVB and the French management are now working on a solution.

BVB travel to America: Seven U23 players available – Marcel Sabitzer to follow
Otherwise, all the pros are there, with even the injured Jamie Byno-Kittens starting the long haul. As usual, they will be supported this time by some players from the U23s.
From coach John Zimmerman’s team, there will be Marian Kirsch, Antonios Papadopoulos, Henry Blanc, Guille Bueno, Ole Bollman, Samuel Bamba and Paul Bessang.
Additionally, Marcel Sabitzer’s move to BVB is soon to follow.

BVB travel to America: Tests against San Diego, Manchester United and Chelsea FC to come
As part of the trip, Borussia Dortmund will first stop in San Diego. There Tercik-Elf completed the first of three friendlies in the US on Thursday night (July 27). 4.30am German time against Championship club San Diego Loyal.
The game continues against Manchester United at 3am in Las Vegas before taking on Chelsea in Chicago on Monday (July 31) next Thursday (August 3, 2:30am). As usual, RUHR24 reports on the duels with the two Premier League clubs in the BVB live ticker.
