From August 15, vaccinated people will only get a “green passport” if they can prove they have been fully vaccinated. Most vaccines require two sutures for this. Vaccination is sufficient for those who have recovered, but the note “1/2” was previously present in their testimony. That has now changed. Marking “1/1”, these 130,000 people with MERS infection who were once vaccinated are now determined to be fully immune.
Thus, the Ministry follows the recommendations of the National Vaccination Council. But for those who have not recovered, as of August 15, it is no longer sufficient to vaccinate them only once for the “Green Pass”. Exceptions apply to those who have been vaccinated with the available Johnson & Johnson vaccine. New EU compliant vaccination certificates for those who have recovered from vaccination are automatically generated and made available via Gesundheit.gv.at.
The new evidence is made possible by the link between the electronic vaccination card and the Epidemiological Reporting System (EMS) made possible thanks to a law change at the end of July. A total of 267,826 new certificates were issued to people who recovered and were vaccinated. Of these, 140,000 people have already been vaccinated twice despite having recovered, for example because they were vaccinated a long time ago or needed proof of two poles, for example for international travel.
