Panagiotis Spyropoulos will step down as group CEO by the end of the first half of 2024 after 13 years at the helm of Austriacard Holdings and in accordance with a succession plan, the company said. Emmanuel Kontos, who currently holds the position of Group Executive Vice President, will be appointed as his successor as of July 1, 2024 at the latest. Born in Australia in 1971, he holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in business administration. As an international executive, he has over 25 years of experience in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia in CFO and Managing Director roles. Among the companies he has worked for are Colgate-Palmolive, General Mills Inc., Coca-Cola Hellenic, and Korres Natural Products. He has been working with the group since 2018.
