The Chicago Bears surprisingly won their away game against the New England Patriots 33:14 in the National Football League (NFL) on Monday (local time). “We’ve done a good job,” said Beers recipient Equinomos St. Brown from the German news agency (dpa).
For the Bears, this was their first win after three consecutive losses. Quarterback Fields had a touchdown pass and a blocked throw interception.
Change the quarterback in the Patriots
Midfielder Mac Jones started with the Patriots after being injured, but was replaced during the match by his recently masked replacement Billy Zappy.
With his first three throws, he led the Patriots to touchdown and shortly thereafter made the lead possible 14:10. But the Bears resisted and led again in the first half by 20:14. In the second half, New England, under coach Bill Bellick, failed to score.
After seven matches, both teams now have three wins and four losses. The Bears pressed the struggling Green Bay Packers into the race for the qualifying spots at the NFC North. The Patriots lag behind the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets and Miami Dolphins in East Asia.
