Chromo. The revolving open-air theater in Cesky Krumlov has provided a unique setting for opera, ballet and drama performances for more than half a century. A diverse program awaits visitors from July to September.
For the first time this year, the oratory “Convent of Christ” by George Frideric Handel can be experienced on the revolving stage as a scenic “baroque opera”. It premiered in Dublin on April 13, 1742, and caused a storm of ecstasy. The focus of the “Messiah” are passages from the Bible about Jesus Christ.
A festival awaits you in the castle garden: a magical atmosphere, a lit castle garden, 150 choral singers, soloists, ballet and actors appearing in baroque costumes promise unforgettable impressions. The thrilling biblical story of Jesus Christ comes to life in a musical celebration and culminates in the world-famous “Hallelujah”.
Don’t miss this wonderful outdoor theater experience at Krumau Castle Park with its uniqueness around the world, the spectator platform that can be rotated 360 degrees.
