There does not appear to be anything wrong with a potential move from Sturm striker Emmanuel Emiga to FC Red Bull Salzburg.
In the press conference before the championship-cracking match against Sturm Graz (Sunday, 5pm in live tape >>>), Salzburg’s sports director Christoph Freund spoke about the rumors that surfaced on Thursday and said: “I have to smile a little, what is that and who is posting .”
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano got on the speculation with a tweet that ‘the Bulls’ have named the 10-time Graz striker as a potential future transfer target.
Salzburg is “in a very good position” in attack
Freund denied: “We are very well positioned in this position and we do not need to take action at the moment.”
With Fernando, Junior Adamo, Siko Quetta, Karim Konate and Noah Okafor all injured, there are currently five strikers in Salzburg for next season, with Okafor entrapped by several top clubs. In addition, Roko Simic and Nene Dorgeles return from their loans in Zurich and Westerlo in the summer.
Meanwhile, Emegha has also been linked with Chelsea and AS Roma.
