Richard Wagner’s opera “Lohengrin” is celebrated on Saturday, March 18th. After a long hiatus, she returned to the New York Metropolitan Opera. And also in Tulln, too, because the opera will be broadcast live at 5 p.m. in Star Movie Tulln cinemas.
Star Movie presents a total of six more performances from the New York Metropolitan Opera through June 2023. Richard Wagner’s opera about the mysterious swan knight Lohengrin has not been performed at the Met for 17 years. In an atmospheric new production, director François Girard combines his stunning visual style and dramatic understanding with Wagner’s overwhelming musicality.
Piotr Pekzala, who debuted as Lohengrin at the Bayreuth Festival in 2018, leads a group of first-class singers.
