Inspired by sun umbrellas, bath towels and beach chairs, which are often striped, Condor in the future will wear stripes in five colors: Yellow, red, blue, green, beige. Want a new company? Express your look unmistakably and start the future with freshness.
“Condor has gone through a transformation in the past two and a half years: from being a subsidiary of a vertically integrated travel group to an independent airline that proudly looks back on its history and traditions while simultaneously carving its way into the future. We also want to express this unmistakably through our appearance.” . Ralph Tickentrop, CEO of Condor. “Our new brand is stripes, our pictorial mark represents our origin and the colors of diversity. This trinity is new, what remains is our passion. We have always made Condor unique and thus is reflected in our claim: Passion is our compass.”
Condor’s new look
The concept and creation of the new brand was managed by Remo Masala, owner of the creative agency Vision Alphabet in Berlin. “Reframing Condor’s brand image with its long tradition was a sensitive interaction based on respect for the origin and the requirements of the future. Our goal was to provide Condor with a special visual independence, in which the rationale is incorporated into the core of the Condor brand.”
The main colors of the corporate identity are yellow and blue. Completed in a contrasting grey. The ring Condor, the condor in a circle, dates back to one of the most influential German designers, Otl Aicher. The logo also got a facelift: the fonts are now more subtle and dynamic. The lettering of Condor has also been modified: it is now more compact and the word sign has been developed more independent and consistent with the image due to the new lowercase letters. In the future, the logo will appear in high-contrast black on the fuselage.
The Condor will initially have five colors in stripe form: yellow, red, blue, green and beige – which is intended to represent the diversity of Condor’s guests, as well as employees and the plurality of opportunities to discover the world with Condor. According to Condor, by 2024 pAnd 80% of the fleet will have to be repainted, as this could mean repainting anyway.
Accessories like scarves, ties, and pins will shine through in the new design of the crew’s outfit. The new design is also finding its way on the plane, at airports, on the website and on social media: in the coming weeks and months, many items on board, such as cups, blankets and cutlery, will be exchanged, as well as all items on the ground such as boarding passes. To the plane, ID cards and airport signs. However, the exchange will take place in succession, because there is nothing in the old design to throw away, everything must be used.
Six Planes Planned For Summer 2022
The new design was introduced in Toulouse with the first A330neo, which will take off for Condor from the fall with green stripes.
The first of the new-look Condor will be on the road from tomorrow: an Airbus A321 with D-AIAD registration has yellow stripes and will fly to Lanzarote on April 5 at noon. In the coming weeks, five more Boeing 757 and Airbus A320/1 aircraft will be repainted, with six aircraft in the new design on the way on the summer flight schedule. They fly mainly to Mallorca, Greece, the Canary Islands and Egypt. (red)
