Console Modder Makes the Virtual GameCube Realistic

Think back to earlier Nintendo generations and you might remember GameCube handheld console models inspired by the Game Boy Advance SP. If you’ve always wanted a real version of something like this, this is it Console modifier and “GingerOfOz” on YouTube created.

The mod was able to downgrade this model to a Game Boy Advance SP handheld device. In fact, it runs a “shortcut” Wii pad that apparently supports Nintendo’s GameCube game library.

To stay true to the GameCube experience, a dedicated program has been added that includes the classic splash screen. And if you’re wondering about the screen, it’s 480p. There is also support for headphones and the entire device has been designed using graphics and 3D printing software. The only downside seems to be the battery life – which only lasts an hour and a half.

oh and Gingerfoods Also delve into the original concept. The guy’s name is obviously Demond (better known as “gcpguy22” on Instagram) and he made the model for fun while in college. Then he uploaded it to see if people would think it was legitimate at the time, and the rest is history.
