Earth is facing a cosmic event: On February 1, a bright green comet named C/2022 E3 (ZTF) is scheduled to be observed from Earth.
Cosmic event: The green comet is very close to Earth
On January 31, a bright green comet is expected to reach its brightest form. On February 1st it is supposed to reach its closest point to Earth. From here it will be visible from Earth until mid-February, though less clearly. NASA reports this on its website.
The comet is located at a distance of 42 million km from Earth
On February 1, it is said to have approached Earth at a distance of about 42 million kilometres. In order to see the comet well, it is important to move to a place outside the city. The comet should be best visible on the night of January 31 to February 1 around 4:30 AM. At this point in time, it could be viewed without the disturbance of moonlight.
The comet could then be clearly seen in a northerly direction until dawn at about 6 am. But it’s also worth checking your city’s weather forecast to see if it’s going to be cloudy.
