“Creation” – a concert featuring 80 singers and 30 orchestra members

“I love classical music,” says Christine Frank, president of the Musica Sacra association of Korneuburg, dedicated to promoting sacred music. That's why she makes an effort and organizes concerts every year to bring this style to a wider audience.

Ticket sales have just begun for the next big event: Joseph Haydn's “Creation” can be heard in the Augusteum (the former Augustinian church) on October 20 at 5 p.m. Frankie was able to recruit Maria Magdalena Nodel, who arranged with the Camerata Orchestra “Ars Musica” and the Cappella Choir “Ars Musica”. In addition to the 80 singers and 30 members of the orchestra, there are also three soloists. Tickets are available at Modehaus Minnich (€25).

Frankie's biggest desire is also to attract a younger audience – both in terms of the concert and in terms of club work as well. She emphasizes that “sacred music is not just classical music, but also includes modern music such as gospel!”

Music is very close to her, “It's good for my soul,” is how Frankie describes her enthusiasm. Her father took her to large audiences in Hoorn where she was born. Her passion for this type of music grew and led her to the church choir in Korneuburg in 1977, where she was a member until 2008. She has been president of Musica Sacra since 2014.
