Does it happen because CR7 came?
United star Jesse Lingard (28 / contract until 2022) could leave the English club because he is rarely used after the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo (36)!
This has now been reported by Britain’s Daily Mail – and two big naming clubs, FC Barcelona and AC Milan, are said to be interested in the striker.
United want to keep Lingard and even offered him a new contract last month. But the Englishman apparently refused at the moment in order to get an idea of the situation in Manchester after signing Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho (21).
And he shouldn’t like it now!
Under coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (48), Lingard has not played in any of the seven league games this season.
The England international, who was on loan to West Ham for six months last season, is likely to fulfill his contract until the summer of 2022 – then leave United on free.
Both FC Barcelona and AC Milan are said to be interested in the free transfer!
A scenario that the “Red Devils” want to prevent.
Solskjaer wants to keep Lingard, perhaps even with an improved contract offer. If United rejects this transplanted home again, it should be sold in January! The Sun newspaper recently imposed a transfer fee of around 17.5 million euros.
