Although Upper Austria has a colorful landscape, the artistic and cultural scene is equally colorful. Here, living habits are more important than anywhere else. Here, young ideas are given more space and the future is actually happening now. In approximately 150 projects, a wide range of arts and culture with historical and contemporary roots is highlighted and brought to the international level. The 2024 Year of Culture will also mark the bicentenary of the birth of the Upper Austrian musician and composer Anton Bruckner. The Bruckner Orchestra's music festivals and centers as well as the annual Bruckner Festival in Linz make the composer a prominent figure in Upper Austria. In addition, Brucknerhaus Linz, the private Anton Bruckner University and St. Florianer Brucknertage is an exceptional artist, one of the five most performed symphony players in the world.
