Due to global semiconductor delivery bottlenecks, automaker Daimler has again halted production at the Sindelfingen plant.
This also applies to next week, a company spokeswoman said Friday. However, production continues in Bremen, Rastatt and Kiskemét (Hungary). Some of the employees went on business for a short time. Earlier, “Stuttgarter-Natrichten” and “Stuttgarter Zeitung” (Saturday) reported about it.
In the past few weeks, there have been bottlenecks and pauses in production at other plants and at other automakers. “It is not currently possible to predict when the suffocation will resolve within the year,” the spokeswoman said. “The situation is still volatile. We are driving in sight.”
Meanwhile, Daimler shares lost 1.56% in XETRA trading to €71.75.
