DARKTRACE signs multi-million dollar deal with major international airlines

Cambridge, England (@ots/PRNewswire) Darktrace, the global leader in artificial intelligence for cybersecurity, today announced that one of the world’s largest airlines has signed a major deal with Darktrace to use self-learning artificial intelligence technology to defend against cyberattacks.

The international airline, which operates nearly a thousand flights daily to more than 100 destinations, uses the Darktrace Enterprise Immune System and Antigena Network to protect the company against advanced threats – from the cloud to the corporate network. It leverages AI in Darktrace to counteract fast-moving and persistent attacks autonomously and at machine speed without disrupting business operations.

The aviation sector has long been a target for cyber-attacks as airlines hold vast amounts of sensitive data – whether it’s clear passenger data of value to global intelligence agencies or high-value transaction data that criminals can exploit. With the unprecedented travel disruptions caused by the pandemic, the risk of fraud and abuse has never been greater. The acceleration of contactless boarding and other digital services has created another layer of risk as attackers look for new ways to enter one of the world’s most sensitive security sectors.

“Darktrace is pleased to partner with this major airline to ensure it is always protected in today’s world from advanced threats,” said Poppy Gustafsson OBE, CEO of Darktrace, which targets technologies that are critical to their business operations. Containing and combating these attacks is more important than ever.”
