Defender Niklas Werchel moves to Linz

Defender Niklas Wörschel, 23, leaves Sposo Wien Capitals for league rivals Steinbach Black Wings Linz. The current contract with Carinthian has been terminated in order to allow the countless Defenders of the Young Caps the necessary Ice Age.

Through Sweden and Klagenfurt to Vienna

Niklas and Rachel moved to Vienna-Cagran last year. The guy from Klagenfurt went to the youth division of the top Swedish club Rögle BK. In the summer of 2018, Forschel returned to his hometown and joined EC-KAC. The defender made his three professional debuts for the Red Jackets in the 2018/19 season. The Austrian player can now appear six times in a total of 106 matches in the ICE Hockey League winning one day. The 23-year-old made 48 appearances for the Capitals last season. Würschl managed to score a goal and an assist for himself.

Zimmer and Bauer are also without a contract

In addition, striker Max Zimmer will no longer appear in Spusu Vienna Capitals. Despite the Capitals Organization’s best efforts, no agreement was reached to extend the working paper. America’s future plans are unknown to the Capitals Organization. The 25-year-old rejected all signing offers from Sposo Vienna Capitals. Zimmer scored a total of 34 goals in his first season in Europe. The American player was crowned the top scorer in the ICE Hockey League. Zimmer added 29 assists to his goal tally in 55 matches.

Homebuilder Sacha Bauer also doesn’t have a contract for the upcoming season. The 28-year-old striker, who suffered a severe lower-body injury at the end of the season and won’t be available again until the end of the year at the earliest, comes from the offspring of Sposo Vienna Capitals. Bauer made his professional debut for Kagran in the 2012/13 season. The striker has played 354 competitive matches for the Vienna side so far. In these, Bauer had 57 points (24 goals + 33 assists). Last season, the 28-year-old played 40 games with 12 points (6 goals + 6 assists). Sascha Bauer is being provided with all the resources by the Capitals organization to help him recover as quickly and fully as possible.
