The reason for termination is “termination due to complete closure of the company.”
Vienna-based MyShoes GmbH, a subsidiary of German MyShoes SE (Deichmann), is apparently closing its doors in Austria. The Austrian subsidiary, which, according to Company Compass, operates 26 sites, has registered its 113 employees for redundancy with the Public Employment Authority's early warning system (AMS). Of the 113 employees, 105 are women. The reason for termination is “dissolution due to complete closure of the company.” Affected employees will allegedly be offered a transfer to Deichmann. It is said to be “still open” whether there will be a takeover by Dishman.
“In September 2015, MyShoes will come to Austria and open its first branches in Neusiedl, Wiener Neustadt and Wiener Neudorf. We are also continuing to expand in Switzerland and six more branches will be opened.” At the end of 2020, MyShoes was represented in four countries – Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland – With around 90 branches.” MyShoes withdrew from Switzerland in 2021. On August 25, 2022, MyShoes celebrated its “grand opening at the eo shopping center in Oberwart” in Austria.
