Devilishly Good Kitchen: A devilishly good castle kitchen

Rogendorf in Pöggstall inspires restaurant-experiencers with its excellent cuisine

PÖGGSTALL. In March 2020, Martin Funder and Gerhard Hackl opened “Das Rogendorf” in the Pöggstall Castle building. In addition to a small standard menu, there are varied and highly selected daily recommendations in a wonderful setting. While Martin Funder conjures up exquisite creations in the kitchen, Gerhard Hackl guarantees highly qualified and courteous service. At Roggendorf you feel right at home. Wines for every budget are stocked in the vinotheque. In addition to Austrian wines, fine wines from France are also very popular.
The extremely high level of gastronomy is reflected in the beef tartare. This is also confirmed by restaurant tester August Teufl: “One of the best beef tartare I’ve eaten so far. Wonderfully seasoned and refined minced meat with pickled egg yolks at the table. I can’t help but give the title ‘devilishly good! ‘ Forgive.”
