Dropbox customers can now also work with colleagues on a Microsoft Office document and track changes in real time. Integration is also being expanded elsewhere.
Spring 2024 release Dropbox is due for a comprehensive update that brings many new functions. This includes co-authoring Microsoft Office documents stored in Dropbox. Word, Excel and PowerPoint files can be edited together on desktop, on the web or on a smartphone, where participants can see who is currently working in what position – provided they have a stable online connection, of course.
The innovation is currently still in beta, and interested customers must register This side Register to participate in the test.
Another innovation is the integration of OneDrive into the additional service Restart DropboxWhich can be used to work together on video projects. Videos stored in OneDrive can be merged directly there without having to re-upload them.
Dropbox is also linked to Microsoft Copilot via a plugin. The co-pilot can also search the Dropbox database this way. Dropbox files can also be accessed directly from Microsoft Teams, including real-time preview.
